Teresa Schroeder, FNP, MSN

Teresa Schroeder is a warm and compassionate board-certified family nurse practitioner who joined Dr. Perkins’ practice in 2017. She brings deep knowledge and experience to every patient visit, and truly wants to get to know each patient and their needs.

Education

Teresa grew up in Metro Detroit and attended L’Anse Creuse High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan and her Master of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University.

Professional experience

Before joining Dr. Perkins’ team, Teresa worked for five years as a registered nurse in the Trauma/Burn ICU and Cardiac Surgery ICU at the University of Michigan Hospital. She has also worked as a nurse practitioner in a walk-in clinic and with an orthopedic spine surgery team.

Sports medicine and nutrition

A lifelong athlete, Teresa has a deep passion for sports medicine and understands the importance of good nutrition in athletics and overall well-being. Her own experience fuels her dedication to helping patients regain function and live without pain.

Outside the office

Teresa enjoys time with her husband, daughter, extended family and friends. She stays active with running, biking, yoga, triathlons and tennis, and enjoys traveling, cooking and cheering for the University of Michigan Wolverines.
